Let’s consider some facts. As the global economic and political situations change, they present constant challenges and hurdles for the government of the United Kingdom. The problem is buying goods from foreign countries to meet its consumption makes the UK dependent on foreign producers. In 2022 the UK imported £155.5 billion of goods while the exports were around £66.2 billion. In 2020 the United Kingdom’s worth was £10.7 trillion furthermore United Kingdom foreign exchange reserves were 115.5 USD billion in October 2023.

So the question is why is the UK facing a crisis in keeping its population happy, healthy, safe and thriving. What are the main factors that once resolved will soothe the situation. What the UK together should look to tackle in the immediate and near future.

During a public survey done during early 2023 the following issues were highlighted as immediate concerns of the population of the United Kingdom. Cost of living, National Health Service, Economy, Climate change and Environment, Crime, Housing, Industrial action, Immigration, International conflict, Education, EU Exit and Employment.

Unified approach is what is required by the government. Divided policies of the ruling party and the opposition will not take anyone anywhere. Disagreements of thoughts will only hinder unity. Promises have to be kept, diplomacy should be productive. Betterment of the United Kingdom and its population should be the priority. Government and its advisors should deliver remedy to nations problems and that is exactly why they are put into the authoritative positions they are in. If in doubt, better advisors should be reached and consulted. The parties should collaborate with each other to invent solutions.

The buying power of the Great British Pound has to become stronger so that it can compete with other stronger currencies in the world. This will also help in enhancing the skills of the workforce, products, services, exports and industry.

Happy, healthy, safe, thriving and stronger UK will produce better results domestically as well as internationally. Wisely we have to find ways to tackle the obstacles and hurdles. The United Kingdom must become great again. Liberalization to the extent of betterment for the population of the UK.
